Ducks give Gudas's old 'C' to Mikael Granlund

The Anaheim Ducks named Mikael Granlund the 10th captain in franchise history on Tuesday, per TSN and The Hockey News. The 34-year-old Finn takes the "C" from Radko Gudas. Gudas wore it for two seasons before Anaheim traded him to the Panthers on June 29.

Leo Carlsson, Alex Killorn, Jackson LaCombe and Troy Terry will wear the "A."

Granlund put up 19 goals and 41 points in 58 games in his first year with the Ducks. He added five goals in 12 playoff games as Anaheim ended a seven-year postseason drought.

GM Pat Verbeek praised his "professionalism, humility, mentorship and quiet intensity," per TSN.
