Ruck twins get one line and one night together in Pittsburgh

Liam and Markus Ruck will make their Penguins preseason debut together against Detroit on Tuesday night, per NHL.com's Wes Crosby. The identical twins from Osoyoos, B.C., were born eight minutes apart and drafted 17 picks apart in June, Liam at No. 22 and Markus at No. 39.

Pittsburgh is putting them on the same line, Markus at center and Liam on the right wing. Markus wasn't supposed to dress until injuries opened a spot, so the 18-year-olds get to share a bench with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.

"It's definitely going to be one to remember, putting on an NHL jersey with my brother," Liam told NHL.com.

Ferda read: Markus led the WHL in points and assists last season and Liam did the scoring in Medicine Hat, per NHL.com, so this isn't a gimmick line. It's a playmaker and a trigger man who've been reading each other since the womb. Preseason exists for exactly one night like this.
